Healthy kathi rolls Recipe

Healthy kathi roll. .A light dinner option ----1

Most of the time our dinner tends to become the heaviest meal,  as that may be the  time when all family eats together. I would like to give some options for dinner which everybody can enjoy as well it will be tasty,  healthy and light . So all those health and weight conscious people keep a track of Jeeyo Healthy yummy low calories recipes.

Ingredients ( makes 8- 10 rolls ) For filling
Red bell pepper  1
Yellow bell pepper 1
Orange bell pepper 1
Green capsicum  1
Cabbage finely shredded 2 cups
Onion chopped lengthwise  1
Carrot cut lengthwise  1
Beans cut lengthwise  8-10 nos
Olive oil  1tbsp
salt and pepper to taste
Green chutney

Whole wheat dough to roll out chapattis

Method :

For Filling :
1) Heat a non stick pan and add olive oil
2) Add all chopped vegetables .
3) Add salt and pepper as per taste
4) Stir fry the vegetables till they become semi soft
5) Do not cover the pan so that the vegetables retain their normal colour and texture.

For Rolls :
1) Take a small ball of dough (about 30 - 40 gms ) and roll it as a slightly thin and big chapati.
2) Cook it both sides (can be brushed with little oil -optional )
3) Spread a little green chutney and add the vegetables about 2-3 tbsp.
4) Make a roll by folding from one end and then roll it.
5) Serve hot with green chutney ( which can be mixed with a little curd )




P.S :
Other ingredients that can be added to the filling are chicken ( boiled )
Cottage cheese / Soya granules ( after soaking in hot water for about 30 mnts )

Perfect Ten Healthy Tips for Healthy living

Here are some simple tips which are easy to follow and when incorporated in your day to day routine,  good for health too :

1) Start your day with 2 glasses of warm lemon water / plain water.

2) When to eat is as important as what to eat , in simple words eating right food at right time .

3) Eat fruits and salads half hour before meals , for better digestion .

4) Include colourful vegetables in you daily menu like red,  yellow,  orange capsicum , carrots,  pumpkin etc.

5) Exercise is also of equal importance , 20 mnts of any form of vigorous exercise every day is a healthy practice .

6) Never skip meals,  have 5- 6 small meals at regular intervals specially for all weight conscious people.

7) Have a light dinner at lest 2- 3 hours before bedtime.

8) Increase fibre in your diet by including raw fruits and vegetables like unpeeled cucumber , carrots,  apple,wholegrain,  oats etc.

9) Eat food cooked fresh in every meal,  avoid leftovers .

10) Drinking 1-2 cups of green tea also works wonders for your health both physical and mental .
